This class is designed for Women Only.
If you have ever been intimidated to learn to sew on a sewing machine, now is your chance to learn with The Joel Fund! In the no-nonsense class, instructor Grace McFetters Caldwell will take you through the basic mechanics of your sewing machine, then teach you how to use it step-by-step. Students will learn the fundamentals of sewing in an easy to digest project that will boost confidence so they are ready to head home and conquer their own sewing projects!

Spend the day painting an acrylic landscapes and take home a wall ready painting. We will begin with a simple 6x6" landscape to build up confidence and then move into a larger landscape that will leave you feeling ready to conquer more! This is a beginner friendly class.

One Day Workshop: Owls in Clay

Owls make the perfect quirky handbuilt garden ornaments to nestle among your fall decor, or give as a unique gift! Come make a duo of owl sculptures using simple handbuilding techniques (pinching, joining, altering, and adding texture). We’ll create them and apply bright, colorful stroke-and-coat glazes directly to your pieces. All levels welcome, no experience needed, and all materials provided. Pieces will be fired for pickup after the class.

In this immersive one-day intensive, you will explore the limitless possibilities of mixed media collage, focusing on the harmony between found materials and fine art techniques. You’ll learn to build rich, evocative compositions by layering vintage ephemera, hand-painted papers, and textiles using adhesives and gel mediums. The workshop covers essential design principles—such as focal points and tonal balance—while encouraging experimental mark-making with charcoal, ink, and acrylic glazes to unify your work. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, you will leave with a finished, multi-dimensional piece and a new toolkit for storytelling through visual texture.
